"Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God who weighs our hearts & keeps our souls, knows what we know, & holds us responsible to act." ~Proverbs 24:12

Sweet Dane
We dropped off the medical waiver in Grand Rapids yesterday morning. I am hoping it was overnighted to Korea yesterday, at the very least today. We should expect a travel call next week. I am not getting my hopes up but I really hope this is true. I feel like he is never going to be home - like this whole process is a dream.
Sweet Dane, I hope to meet you soon! We love you so much! Love, Mommy
I have a tradition of buying our kids a special first photo album. This is a picture of the one I bought for Dane. I usually go for something a little more modern but I love how the airplane is flying the "Our Little Boy" banner. I thought it was appropriate since our little guy will be coming home on an airplane.

This is a picture of Dane's crib. We set it up in our room. After he adjusts to being home we will be moving him to David's room. I can only imagine the craziness that will happen in that room :)!

Until We Meet Again
My husband's grandma passed away Wednesday night, 6/23, at 11:45 pm. After reading her some scripture and giving her permission to leave, she was welcomed into the arms of Jesus. We are thankful her suffering is over and her cancer is gone, but we will miss her for sure. I loved the way she so lovingly looked at her grand kids and greats. She would grin from ear to ear. She lived for their hugs and kisses. She is leaving behind many that love her including her husband. She lived to be 91 years old. We are sad that she will not be able to meet Dane, as she was one of our biggest supporters. But we hold tight to our faith and trust that we will see her again. I am so thankful that this world is not all there is.

Forgot to add...
I forgot to add a couple things in my last post...
Our garage sale was not what we were hoping, the weather was crummy and we just did not have the turn out that we normally do. But we still made some money, enough to pay for a couple nights in our hotel when we travel. Also, we have decided to give Dane another middle name. We are keeping his Korean name and also adding Carlton; it is a family name and we really wanted him to have it as well. I think that is it for now. Oh, I did get the crib set up. I really hope Dane is here soon. I do not think I can look at the empty crib for much longer.

Busy Busy
Sorry it has been so long since I have updated. Things with the adoption came to a stand still and I just was not in the mood to post. I am happy to say so much has happened since then. The kiddos are now out of school, we have been at the beach and hanging out with family and friends. Things have finally started picking up with the adoption- we are hoping to travel in the next 2 weeks!! Dane had his Embassy appearance 0n 6/17 and his visa physical is sched. for today. That just leaves us with the medical wavier (if we get one), then his visa can be issued and then finally we will get a travel call. I finally picked up the crib last night and will get it together today. I also bought him a couple new outfits. Up until now I just have not been in the mood...I felt like he was never going to be home. I have been busy wrapping up a few things around the house and working on his baby/memory book. Above are a few pics of our summer fun!
